According to Sadie Roberts, she started Tradlands with very little money or experience: “I’m really comfortable saying, we had no idea what we were doing.”

Her vision – and that lack of experience – led her to a design philosophy completely at odds with the fast fashion tidal wave. Now, she and her husband Jeremy have spun her notion of creating high-quality menswear-inspired essentials for women into a values-led company that’s built to last.

Their unique approach puts quality and attention to detail at the heart of the design process. Rather than growing fast, she’s focused on long-term sustainability and using ecologically responsible materials in products designed to be handed down from mother to daughter.
